Guests celebrate at VIP Opening of Hal’s Major Retrospective Exhibit
Top of The Capitol, Tallahassee, Florida
My continuing concern is for both the fragility of
our natural environment and the human spirit.
I would like my work to serve as an uplifting buoy.
We need more focus on nature – its balance, mystique and beauty –
and that in life which is positive, exciting, joyful and kind.

We feel it is now time to reach out

a joining together of all the arts, disciplines…
individuals, corporations, countries…
with focus on caring for our global environment.

"HAL STOWERS: COASTAL FLORIDA FRAGILITIES" A Retrospective One-person Exhibition Leepa Rattner Museum of Art, St. Petersburg College Campus, Tarpon Springs, Florida August, 2010
Special Notes: 1994 - 2009 From 1994-1997 Hal was involved in his four year long HOPS Commission and created works from travels to Costa Rica, Maine and Jamaica. Conceptual design and fabrication of his monumental stainless steel sculpture "SUN TIME" was a major focus 1998-1999. The Armston Park commission was completed the morning of 9/11/2001. From 2002 through 2006 Hal and B.J. devoted themselves to four beloved elderly parents throughout their illnesses and end of life on earth affairs. During this time they also completed and published (with the help of patron/sponsors) their first LIFE BLENDING® coffee table book, and introduced it through a pre-publication party and major book signing at the Clearwater Main Library, sponsored by Northern Trust Bank. The years 2007 - 2009 were spent making major changes in their private life to get their own affairs in order. The year 2010 marks the beginning of an era in which Hal and B.J.'s focus is on continuing to share the important messages of his environmental art, and at the same time, be Guides for others who wish to learn and benefit from their LIFE BLENDING® creative lifestyle concept. His 2010 solo retrospective exhibition at Leepa Rattner Museum of Art , entitled: "HAL STOWERS: Coastal Florida Fragilities," launches this Period. While preparing for this Exhibit, alarming news of a major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, dramatically cried out for critical ongoing concern for Planet Earth's fragility -- which has been the fulcrum of Hal and B.J.'s life long commitment.
